What we collect

GradePoint is designed to collect as little as possible. The grades, credits, and GPA figures you type into our calculators are stored only in your own browser using localStorage. They are never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers. Clearing your browser data or clicking a calculator's Reset button removes them completely.

Cookies and local storage

We use two categories of browser storage:

  • Functional localStorage — saves your entered courses and calculator inputs so your work survives a page refresh. This data never leaves your device.
  • Advertising cookies — GradePoint is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand overall traffic (page views, referral sources). We do not build user profiles or sell personal data.

Children's privacy

GradePoint is a general-audience informational tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
